In the first game, the Lakers started strong and jumped out to a 6-0 lead on the DI Stingers. In the first inning, Cody Pittenger led off with a walk and that was later followed by a Spencer Schultz single. Pittenger later scored on a ground out by Adam Samuels. The Lakers then erupted for five runs in the second. Key hits in the inning were a two RBI double by Garrett Sierra and an RBI single by Levi Jones. Unfortunately for the Lakers, they would score no more runs and have no more hits the rest of the game. The Stingers erupted for 10 unanswered runs - four each in the third and fourth innings and one each in the fifth and sixth innings. Anthony Miller took the loss as he pitched three plus innings. He was responsible for eight runs on only five hits. He also walked five and struck out four batters. David Kalinowski relieved and threw three innings giving up two runs on three hits.

In the nightcap, the Stingers rolled to a 12-2 5 inning win. The defense let the Lakers down in this game as they committed three errors. Kyle Zarbosky took the loss allowing six runs in two innings on seven hits. Anthony Ward relieved and pitched two innings allowing six runs (one earned) on four hits. The Lakers only managed two hits on the day – singles by Adam Samuels and Kyle Espinelli.
