Jeramie Burge earns second team OCCAC All-Conference honor for Lakeland

Jeramie Burge (Shaker Heights) earned the highest conference honor for Lakeland men's basketball as he landed a spot on the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference second team. Trey Granger (Bedford Heights) and Ty Howard (Cleveland) each were recognized by the OCCAC.

Burge led the Lakers in scoring with 17.4 points per game and made 49 3-pointers on the season. Burge also earned a spot on the Division II All-District 11 first team in his sophomore season.

Also a sophomore, Granger was named to the OCCAC All-Defensive Team as he earned 25 blocks and 50 steals on the defensive side. Granger was the second-leading scorer for Lakeland with 14.8 points per game and earned honorable mention honors.

Freshman Ty Howard earned a spot on the OCCAC honorable mention list as he averaged 13.6 points per game and hit 32 shots from behind the arc.

Lakeland had a tough time in 2017-18, finishing with a 5-21 overall record and lost to Edison State in the NJCAA District 11 Quarterfinal.
