Terrell Eskridge was named the head coach for the Lakers men's basketball team for the 2022-23 season, his first year in the role.

Eskridge previously served as an assistant coach for Lakeland during the 2021-22 season, where he helped guide the team to an impressive 26-2 record and a fifth-place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) tournament. The team also secured the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) championship and the Region XII District "C" title during the season.

Eskridge's background includes a wealth of coaching and playing experience. Prior to joining Lakeland, he worked as a head basketball trainer for the United States Basketball Academy in China and held successful coaching positions at the high school level in both Georgia and Kansas. Additionally, Eskridge played professionally in both the Belize National Basketball Association and the Moroccan Basketball Association.
