KIRTLAND, Ohio – Olivier Fevrier Sildor either scored or assisted the first five goals for Lakeland Community College men's soccer in a 6-2 beating of Cincinnati State Technical & Community College Saturday afternoon.

Fevrier assisted on the first three goals and then scored the two following goals to help the Lakers improve to 11-3-1 overall. Lakeland stays at 5-3-1 in Region XII play.

Carlos Pesso scored a pair of goals and had one assist in the win. Franklin Durugbor and Brendon Mullen each scored a goal while Joel Razo Bermudez and Uri-Malcolm Young also added an assist.

It took a little while to get on the board but Pesso finally broke through for Lakeland in the 20^th minute after receiving an assist from Sildor for the 1-0 lead. Sildor used his great passing vision again five minutes later to find Durugbor for a goal for a 2-0 Laker lead. Sildor again struck for another assist in the 29^th minute with a pass to Mullen to give Lakeland a 3-0 lead.

Sildor was also able to put the ball in the net in the 30^th minute after receiving a pass from Bermudez to give the Lakers a 4-0 lead that would hold up until halftime.

Sildor kept the momentum in Lakeland's favor in the second half when he took a pass from Pesso in the 57^th minute for a goal and a 5-0 lead. Pesso capped off his two-goal day after taking a pass from Young and scoring in the 61^st minute.

After Lakeland took a 6-0 lead, Cincinnati State was able to add a penalty kick goal in the 70^th minute and another goal in the 85^th minute to make the final score appear closer at 6-2.

Lakeland will next play its final regular season home game on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. against Cuyahoga Community College. Lakeland currently sits in second place in the Region XII standings with 16 points while Cuyahoga is currently in fourth with 12 points.
