JACKSON, Mich. – Lakeland Community College men's soccer started fast by scoring the first four goals on its way to a 6-3 victory over Jackson College Sunday afternoon to wrap up the conference regular season play.

The Lakers finished the conference regular season with a 6-5-1 mark in Region XII and improve to 12-5-1 overall.

Olivier Fevrier Sildor had a strong game for Lakeland by scoring the first two goals and assisting on three others for five total points in 90 minutes. Carlos Pesso also scored two goals and added an assist. Uri-Malcolm Young and Franklin Durugbor each scored a goal in the victory while Durugbor added an assist.

The Lakers started well despite heavy rain and strong winds in the game as Fevrier scored two goals in the first 11 minutes to take a 2-0 lead early on. Pesso assisted on a goal in the fourth minute and Durugbor added an assist in the 11^th minute.

Pesso was able to augment the lead before halftime with a goal in the 32^nd minute after receiving a pass from Sildor for a 3-0 lead that would hold up until the half.

Young kept the momentum going in the 48^th minute as he took a pass from Pesso and scored a goal for a 4-0 lead. Jackson would score two consecutive goals to get within 4-2 at the 64 minute mark.

Lakeland built the lead back up to four with a goal each from Pesso and Durugbor. Sildor assisted on both goals as the Lakers led 6-2 in the 81^st minute. Jackson would add one more goal before the final whistle to make the final score 6-3.

Lakeland will finish out the regular season with a non-conference match at Mercyhurst North East on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m.
