The Lakers men's soccer team traveled to Marian University-Ancilla College today and dropped a 3-2 decision to the Chargers. Lakeland hurt themselves as they got off to a slow start allowing 2 goals within the first 20 minutes of the game. The Lakers didn't quit though and they started to get their legs under them. The tide started to turn as the Lakers began to control much of the play in the game. Michel Klein got Lakeland on the board as he netted a goal to cut the deficit to 2-1 going into the break. Shortly after the break, there was an incident on the pitch and a Laker player drew a red card forcing Lakeland to play a man down the rest of the game. Immediately following that play, the Chargers scored to push the lead to 3-1. Despite being down, the Lakers continued to work hard and Apollo Percic netted a goal on an assist from Kyle Roundy with 20 minutes to play. Unfortunately for the Lakers, they were unable to score again and so fell to the Chargers.

Next Up: On Tuesday (10/10), the Lakers travel to Terra State to face the Titans in a 3:00 pm match.
