The Lady Lakers (10-8) came away with two victories yesterday as they traveled to Clark State Community College to face the Eagles. Justine Barnes did the big damage in game one as she hit a double, triple, and two solo homers in the 5-2 victory. Abbe Mowrer had three hits while Emily Woods and Danae Scoville contributed two hits each. Sydney Aey pitched the complete game victory allowing six hits and two runs while striking out six.

In the nightcap, Emily Woods (2B, 3B, 3 RBI), Abbe Mowrer (1B, 3B, HR, 5 RBI), and Justine Barnes (1B, HR, 2RBI) led the way as the Lakers rolled to a 16-2 victory over the Eagles. The Lakers scored 12 runs in the first inning and never looked back as in the five-inning run rule game. Sydney Aey again pitched the complete game for the Lakers allowing five hits and two runs (one earned).

Lakeland will play host to Kent State – Tuscarawas Friday before heading to Grand Rapids for a non-league doubleheader on Saturday.
