Lakeland softball adds an Ohio all-state pitcher in Teyah Sautter

Lakeland softball added a talented all-state pitcher in Teyah Sautter (Columbus Grove) for the 2019 team.

Sautter earned first team all-state honors as a junior at Columbus Grove High School, while also earning first team Northwest District and North West Conference. She also earned first team and player of the year in Putnam County League. Getting recognized is nothing new for Sautter as she has earned conference and district recognition as a pitcher during her freshman and sophomore seasons.

Sautter also earned her academic letter from both Ada High School and Columbus Grove High School. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and LEO Club at Columbus Grove.

"We are extremely happy Teyah chose Lakeland to study nursing and play softball," said Jeff Morganti, Lakeland softball head coach. "The game begins in the circle and she will give us great presence as a pitcher."

Sautter is the second all-Ohio player to sign a letter of intent in Lakeland's 2019 recruiting class.

The Lakers have started out with a 3-5 record to 2018 and will next take a road trip to face Marietta College JV on Friday, March 23 for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
