Lakeland softball adds transfer infielder for 2019 in Amanda Casciato

Lakeland softball added depth to its infield with the signing of Amanda Casciato (Ravenna), a transfer from Lake Erie College.

Casciato played softball at Lake Erie in the fall and then participated on the track team at Lake Erie in the spring. Casciato will play mainly in the infield.

Casciato was named first team all-conference twice while at Ravenna High School. She plans on pursuing a degree in criminal justice.

"Amanda gives up versatility in the infield and she is excited about her opportunity to play at Lakeland," said Jeff Morganti, Lakeland softball coach.

Lakeland softball went 17-15 in 2018 with a conference record of 4-8.
