Armani Jackson claims second OCCAC basketball player of the week honor for Lakeland

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – This week's Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) Basketball Players of the Week for Nov. 13-19 are Armani Jackson (Lakeland) and Hadith Tiggs (Edison) for the Division-II ranks while Columbus State's Antishay Rahim and Chris Byrd brought home the D-III honors.

Armani Jackson picked up her second OCCAC Player of the Week honor in the last three weeks, also earning the distinction following the season's opening week on Nov. 6. Lakeland remains unbeaten at 5-0 after a 109-43 blistering of Hocking College in this past week's only contest. Jackson dropped in 25 points, hitting 12-of-16 field goal attempts. She paired that with a whopping 21 rebounds, including 15 on the offensive glass, to record her fourth double-double through five games of her collegiate career.

Through five games for Lakeland, Jackson has averaged 17.6 points and 14.6 rebounds per game for the 5-0 Lakers.

Lakeland will next face Lorain County Community College on Wednesday, Nov. 29 for a conference game beginning at 5:30 p.m.
