PIQUA, Ohio - Lakeland Community College women's basketball suffered through a cold-shooting performance that included an 0-for-18 shooting night behind the arc in a 66-61 loss to Edison State Community College Saturday afternoon. 

The loss breaks a four-game winning streaking for the Lakers as Lakeland's overall record now falls to 15-6 and 7-4 in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference play. 

Delesha Jackson was able to hit 11-of-15 on her two-point field goal attempts and led all scorers with 27 points and seven rebounds. Armani Jackson also reached double digits with 11 points and secured eight rebounds. Ziona Williams was able to haul in 10 rebounds in the loss. 

The game was pretty tight throughout as Edison State led by one at 18-17 after the first quarter and that one point lead remained at halftime with the score 37-36 at the break. 

The second half was almost as close as Edison State created a little more space by outscoring Lakeland 16-14 to take a slim 53-50 lead heading into the fourth quarter. 

Lakeland was close the entire game but had trouble getting stops when it needed them as Edison State outscored the Lakers 13-11 in the final period to take away the five-point victory. 

Lakeland will again hit the road on Wednesday, Feb. 21 to face Owens Community College for a game beginning at 5:30 p.m.
