JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – Lakeland women's basketball held an advantage through three quarters but it was Jamestown Community College taking advantage of some Lakeland foul trouble in the fourth to come away with a 68-63 victory Saturday afternoon.

With the non-conference loss, Lakeland falls to 8-3 overall but stays 3-0 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.

Delesha Jackson led the way for the Lakers with 19 points while Calasia Cunningham finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Alicia Sephus logged a double-double coming off the bench with 10 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Destiny Khay got the start for Lakeland and was effective in the first quarter as she scored six points and the Lakers led 17-16 after one. Jackson got going in the second quarter with eight points as Lakeland outscored Jamestown 13-11 to take a 30-27 lead into halftime.

Jackson kept it rolling in the third with another eight points as Lakeland narrowly outscored Jamestown 12-11 for a 42-38 heading into the fourth quarter.

Lakeland ran into a depth problem as three Lakeland players fouled out and Jamestown outscored the Lakers 30-21 in the final quarter to steal away the seven-point victory.

Lakeland will next play in the Thunderwolves Classic at Niagara County Community College and will face Genesee Community College on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 1 p.m.
