Lakeland doomed by two Cincinnati State penalty kicks, 2-0

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Lakeland women's soccer played strong but two converted penalty kicks by Cincinnati State Technical & CC were enough for a 2-0 victory Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, Lakeland's overall record falls to 2-7-1 and its Region XII record stays at 1-4.

Maria Sill had six shots, Cayleigh Megyesi fired four shots while Elena Logan and Xochil Arcos Arredondo each had a shot in the loss.

Lakeland will be on the road again on Saturday, Oct. 6 to face Jackson College at 11 a.m.
