Lakeland closes season with loss to Jackson, 5-0

KIRTLAND, Ohio – Lakeland women's soccer was under attack nearly all game and Jackson College was able to take advantage for a 5-0 victory to close out the season for the Lakers Saturday afternoon.

Following the loss, Lakeland closes the season with a 4-10-2 overall record and a 1-6-1 Region XII record in the first year of existence.

Maria Sill (Geneva) was able to fire three shots on goal and six total shots in the loss for Lakeland. Under constant pressure nearly all game, Erica Wayts (Painesville) was able to make 18 total saves, including a save on a penalty kick.

Jackson was able to score two goals in the first half and then add three more in the second half to run away with the victory.
