Ellie Frania joined the Lakeland coaching staff as an assistant women's soccer coach in April of 2022.

In her inaugural season with the Lakers, Frania helped lead the team to a 6-6-1 record, including an impressive 4-2-1 home record. The women's soccer team tallied four shutouts on the season, including a 7-0 win at home against Terra State on Sept. 7. The seven goals marked a season-high for the Lakers.

Frania competed collegiately at Edinboro University, making 31 career appearances between 2017 and 2018. In her sophomore season, Frania tallied a pair of goals, one in the season-opener against Shippensburg on Sept. 1 and again in a 3-2 conference win at Mansfield on Oct. 18.
