Khaliah Watts will lead the Lakeland volleyball team as head coach in the upcoming 2023 season.

Before joining the Lakeland coaching staff, Watts spent three seasons as an assistant coach at John Carroll. In 2022, Watts aided the Blue Streaks in achieving a 21-8 record, their highest number of victories since 2014. With two All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) selections, including the conference player of the year, John Carroll advanced to the OAC tournament championship for the first time in eight seasons.

Watts has held various high school coaching positions, including head coaching stops at Shaker Heights High School, Bedford High School, Wickliffe High School, and Cleveland Heights High School, accumulating 10 years of coaching experience. Additionally, Watts has coached for the Cleveland Volleyball Club (CVC) for five years, where she guided CVC's 15U, 17U, and 15U National teams to success.

Watts also has a strong background as a player, having played volleyball both in high school and college. She graduated from Shaker Heights in 1997 and Cleveland State University in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in communications.
