
Lakeland Community College student-athletes earned 22 Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) All-Academic certificates during the 2024 fall semester. The certificates were distributed across all eight Lakeland athletic programs, including 20 individuals.
Each semester the OCCAC recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a 3.30 grade-point average (GPA) or higher with 12 completed credit hours during the semester. The conference also extends special recognition to those who achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester.
The softball and women's soccer programs led the all women's teams with four certificates each. The softball team was represented by Lillyan Agostine, Lauryn Hawkins, Leah Richter and Peyton Trick. Women's soccer honorees included Josalyn Abrams, Lillyan Agostine, Theresa Santilli and Ryley Woodworth. Abrams and Agostine were both recognized for achieving perfect 4.0 GPAs.
The men's basketball team led the men's side with four certificates from Devin Belle, Ben Hamilton, Keenan Hughes and Kaleb Wanamaker. Hamilton earned special recognition for maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The esports program garnered three certificates from Caden Gragg, Till Oppermann and John Belliky, with Gragg achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Baseball was represented by Cody Crawford and Lucas Nichols, while men's soccer saw Ruach Deng and Till Oppermann earn recognition. The volleyball program's Avrie Shenkel and Samantha Winter both achieved perfect 4.0 GPAs, and Jai'Lynne Hitt-Swartz represented women's basketball.
