The Lakers left the cold and wet northeast Ohio weather to travel to South Carolina for spring break. The weekend was tough for the Lakers as they dropped four straight games. In the first game at Catawba Valley, the Lakers lost 17-14. The Lakers pitchers were roughed up throughout this contest until David Kalinowski came in and was able to quiet the scoring for the final two innings of the game. During this game, the Lakers offense was fantastic in scoring 14 runs on 19 hits. Every starter had at least one hit. Adam Samuels and Levi Jones led the way with three hits apiece. Jack Shepherd, Garrett Sierra, Matt Didonato, Glavine Harpe, and Spencer Schultz each collected two hits. Samuels and Harpe also added three RBI's while Harpe and Hogan Pash also homered for the Lakers.

Two runs later scored on a hard hit Dillon Rohm ball that was misplayed by John Wood's shortstop. The Lakers plated two more runs in the third to briefly tie the score as Samuels and Harpe hit RBI singles. The final run was scored in the sixth as Rohm scored on a Harpe double. Eli Brown started the game and threw three innings in picking up the loss for the Lakers. He struck out four in the three innings of work.

After spotting Rochester a 5-0 lead, the Lakers got back into the game with a three run third. Adam Samuels led off with a single and then a steal before coming home on a Shepherd RBI single. Shepherd then stole second and later scored on a single by Alex Medina. Medina would later score on a single by Brandon Harlan. The Lakers would tack on their final two runs in the seventh on a RBI triple from Garrett Sierra and a sac fly from Spencer Schultz.

On Sunday, the Lakers lost a hard fought 3-2 decision to Northampton College. The Lakers would strike first on an RBI single by Levi Jones in the first inning. Cody Pittenger reached on an error and then went to second as Garrett Sierra walked. After a Northampton double play, Jones delivered the run scoring hit. The other Lakers run was scored in the fourth. Jack Shepherd led off with a single and advanced to second on a fielder's choice by Dillon Rohm. Following an Adam Samuels walk, Jack Shepherd hit a fielder's choice to plate the run. This gave the Lakers a 2-1 lead that held until the top of the seventh inning. In the inning, Northampton had a couple of singles and two sacrifice flies to take the lead. In the bottom of the seventh Branon Harlan had a lead-off walk and was sacrificed to second on a bunt by Matt Didonato.
