The Lakers men's basketball team fell 103-53 to the Owens Community College Express Wednesday night. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 6-8 overall and 2-4 in the OCCAC. The Express shot over 56 percent for the game and were led by Derrik Jamerson and his 25 points. Sophomore Jeff Nevulis led the way for the Lakers as he recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds. Freshman Da'ron Falkner had a strong effort as he contributed 13 points and 9 rebounds while freshman Trevon Granger added 12 points.

The Lakers are on the road for the next week as they travel to Cuyahoga – Metro campus – for a 2 p.m. start Saturday before going to Hocking College Feb. 1 in a 7:30 p.m. tilt. The Lakers next home game is scheduled Saturday, Feb. 4, when they welcome the Sinclair Community College Tartans in a 3 p.m. game. Admission is free to the game.
