Lakeland's Jaidon Lipscomb has been named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference's men's basketball Player of the Week for the week of January 3, 2022. Lipscomb helped lead the Lakers to a 2-0 record last week as Lakeland beat the NJCAA's 12th ranked Niagara County Thunderwolves on the road 89-83 and the Lorain County Commodores at home 91-57. 

In the two games, Lipscomb averaged 21 points, 5.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and had 3 blocked shots.

Lakeland is currently ranked 5th nationally in the NJCAA Division II basketball poll.
