The Lakeland men's basketball team traveled to Ursuline College last night to take on the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats. The Lakers took care of the Bobcats in business like fashion and won the game 82-66. With the win, the Lakers improve to 13-0 (4-0). Lakeland started the game with an 11-0 run as they controlled the boards and spread the offense. After that, they went cold shooting for a spell, uncharacteristically missing some close range shots and free throws. Though they maintained pace with the Bobcats, B&S was able to cut the lead to just 2 points, 34-32, with 1:57 to play in the half. The Laker's Jaidon Lipscomb then hit a big three giving the Lakers the 5 point edge before Kyle Jackson connected on a pair of free throws to help the Lakers maintain a 39-34 half time lead. The Lakers finished the half shooting 42% from the field (14-33) and were 3 of 12 beyond the arc. Chaze Harris had 10 points in the half while Kyle Jackson added 8 points. Noah Berry chipped in 7 points in the first half.

Harris started the second half strong for the Lakers. After making a lay-up, he had a steal. After missing the lay-up, Berry grabbed the rebound and scored again for the Lakers. A minute later, after a Bobcat miss, Harris would score another bucket and the Lakers would never look back. Lakeland would have 4 players finish in double digits as Jaidon Lipscomb led all scorers with 23 points. Chaze Harris would finish with 15 points on 7-11 shooting and add 8 rebounds. Kyle Jackson would finish with 12 points and 9 rebounds while Noah Berry would finish with a double-double adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. EJ Hubbert chipped in with 8 points while Marcos Vazquez finished with 7 points for the Lakers.

Hunter's Highlights: "We didn't play real well - consistently - in the first half. We did come out better in the second half and were able to play more our style of game.  We have another tough one coming up Saturday as we have a long trip to Edison. We'll get back at it tomorrow to get ready."

Next Up: The Lakers will travel to Piqua, OH on Saturday to face the Edison State Chargers in a 3pm tip.
