The Lakeland men's basketball team traveled to Clark State today to face the Eagles and came away with a convincing 101-72 win. With the win, the Lakers improved to 20-1 (10-1) on the season. The Lakers have assured themselves of a top-two finish in conference play and a bye in the first round of the OCCAC play-offs. If Lakeland finishes with the same record as Hocking College, they will finish as co-champs. The final seeding for the tournament would be determined by a coin flip on Monday.

The Lakers wasted little time in getting going today as they used an up-tempo game, solid defense, and good shooting to take an early lead that they would never relinquish. The Lakers held a 53-31 advantage at the break and coasted to the 29-point win. Lakeland had 5 players score in double digits. Keith Germain, Datrey Long, and Kyle Jackson each scored 19 points for the Lakers. Noah Berry continued his strong inside play scoring 11 points while Landon Tillman handled the point and added 10 points.

Hunter's Highlights: "It was a good team win. Everyone contributed and we were able to control the game. We have to put this behind us though with a quick turnaround tomorrow. I expect us to come out ready to play."

Next up: The Lakers play host to the Edison State Chargers tomorrow. Sophomores will be recognized in a quick ceremony prior to the game. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
