Prior to Lakeland:  Salukomba was a five sport athlete at Lincoln West as he particiapted in soccer, cross country, wrestling, track, and baseball.  He was named the MVP of his soccer team and was a senate champion in wrestling and cross country.  Off the field Salukomba was a member of the National Honor Society and recieved the Princeton Book Award, which is awarded a junior with over a 3.0 GPA, and Salumkoba recieved the award with a 4.3 GPA.
