Lakeland unable to score against Muskegon, 2-0

KIRTLAND, Ohio – Lakeland men's soccer and Muskegon Community College each had 10 shots but Muskegon made two of its shots count for a 2-0 victory Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, Lakeland falls to 4-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in Region XII play.

Muskegon scored both of its goals in the final 28 minutes of play.

Hans-Conny Cherry (Toronto, Ontario), Josue Gomez-Villegas (Perry), Williams Batres (Cleveland) and Kobie Gooding-Meade (Toronto, Ontario) each had a shot on goal but Lakeland was unable to score.

Lakeland will host another conference game on Saturday, Sept. 29 against Ancilla College at 3 p.m.
