KIRTLAND, Ohio – Lakeland men's soccer only allowed one goal in the first half but Jackson College broke the game open with three in the second half for a 4-0 victory to end the regular season for the Lakers Saturday afternoon.
Following the loss, Lakeland's overall record falls to 5-10-4 and its Region XII record drops to 2-6-2.
Lakeland was able to get three shots on goal as Uri-Malcolm Young (Toronto, Ontario) had two shots on goal while Josue Gomez-Villegas (Perry) had the other shot on goal. Williams Batres (Cleveland) fired three shots while Cole Clausen (Conneaut) and Kobie Gooding-Meade (Toronto, Ontario) each had one shot.
Jackson scored one goal in the first half but scored three in the second half to break the game open.
Lakeland will now host Lake Michigan College for a NJCAA Region XII quarterfinal playoff game on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m.
