Men's soccer gains first league win

The Lakers men's soccer team won their first league game of the year with a convincing 2-0 victory at Ancilla College today. Lakeland possessed the ball much of the game yet played to a 0-0 score at the half. The Lakers continued to press the Chargers until Tom Worm broke through with the first goal of the day. Later in the half, Minsung Kim tallied an insurance goal that put the game on ice.

Overall, it was a very physical game that the Lakers mostly controlled. Lakeland had 12 shots on goal and Jack McNeil collected 4 saves in the shutout. Lakeland travels to Jackson Community College tomorrow to play the Jets at 11am.
