Lakers men's soccer rolls to victory over Red Hawks
The Lakeland men's soccer team improved to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in conference play with a solid 4-0 victory over the Lake Michigan Red Hawks. Lakeland was led by freshman Jayden Boateng as he recorded his first hat trick as a Laker. Boateng scored the only goal of the first half as he converted on a one timer on a centering pass from Jon Chikuru.  Fifteen minutes into the second half, he netted his second goal on a pass from Tom Worm.  Boateng's third goal was scored less than five minutes later on a scramble in front of the net. Shakeel Browne scored the final goal for the Lakers in the 81st minute.

Kettani Quotes: "I was pleased with our play today as it was a team effort. We were able to play a lot of guys and players that don't always get as much time really stepped up. I'm also really proud of Boateng as he is really starting to come into his own. After a brief adjustment period, his play is starting to pick up and he's becoming the player we knew he could be. Overall though, nice team effort and we are looking forward to our next challenge."
