The men's socceer team made the long trip to St. Clair today to face the Skippers in Region XII action today. It was a tough day for the Lakers as they made some defensive miscues early allowing St. Clair to jump out to an early lead. The Lakers were then awarded a red card and spent the remainder of the game playing short-handed. Playing down a person against a solid team did not go well and the Lakers eventually fell by a score of 8-0.
Till Oppermann was credited with 14 saves.
Ty's Talk: "Tough trip for us today. We didn't get off to a great start and then being down a man most of the game made it really tough. Credit to the Skippers as they are a good team that was able to pressure us and convert on their chances. We have to turn the page quickly now and come out ready to go next week."
Next Up: The Lakers will face the Commodores of Lorain County on Monday (10/21) at Laker Field in their final home game of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
