Lakeland’s Alicia Sephus named OCCAC player of the week

Sephus averaged a double-double across three games, putting forth 18.0 points and 11.0 rebounds as the Lakers snagged two wins. She also swiped 4.0 steals and dished out 2.0 assists per game while committing just three turnovers in 73 minutes of play. Her high per-game stat averages came in quick fashion, logging less than 25 minutes/game. Sephus knocked down 23-of-47 (49%) field goal attempts, including 4-of-9 from 3-point range.

This represents her first career weekly honor and the third different Lakeland rep to earn this honor in 2018-19 (Selah Richardson on Dec. 17, Delesha Jackson on Jan. 28).

Sephus is currently averaging a double-double with 10.7 points and 10.2 rebounds in 27 games this season.

Lakeland women will finish the regular season with a road game at Sinclair Community College on Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m.
