Player's Perspective
Makayla Cooper -  "We didn't start like as normal as Armani was not initially in the line up (equipment issue); but everyone stepped up and played their part which allowed us to get a lead in the first quarter. When Armani came
back in, we really took off. I really enjoyed our energy today and that everyone really brought it." As for scoring 31 points, "I shocked myself.  It's really the first game I've broken out."

Armani Jackson - "We got off to a good start, but we all agree we could have done better. The game itself was good and we were able to go 2-0 for the week." On thoughts about their upcoming game with St. Clair, "We just need to
stick together as a team, play hard, and be fast paced."

Gianna Pegoraro - "I'm proud of how we moved the ball. We picked up our pace throughout the game and really played as a team." On making the extra pass, "Our team looks for each other and opportunities to finish. We trust
      each other."

Julie Hajdu - "It went well both offensively and defensively. We had good communication and really got after it on the boards. We played well and together."

Gardy's Gab: "We had a tremendous spark off the bench today with Makayla and Armani paving the way. We did a better job defending their sets as the game went on. It was good to come up here and get two victories. This puts us in a position to head into the break on a good note. We'll take a day and then get ready for St. Clair on Thursday."

Next up: On Thursday, December 19, the Lady Lakers will play host to the St. Clair County Skippers at 5:30 pm.  Lakeland will then be off for the break before opening the second semester with a  game against Bryant and Stratton on Jan 8 in Laker gym at 5:30 pm. Admission is free to both games.
