Women's Soccer gains important win at Jackson

The Lakeland women's soccer team improved their record to 5-0 (3-0) with a 2-0 road victory at league foe Jackson Community College today. Leading the way for the Lakers was freshman Denver Falz who scored the games first goal and assisted on the second. The Lakers outshot the Jets 18-12 on the afternoon - 7 of which came from Falz. Naree Lavanh scored the second goal for Lakeland. Erica Wayts had 7 saves as she posted her second shutout of the season.
 
Sivik's sentiments: "Jackson is a well-coached team and they have some talented players; but my ladies played well today. We started off strong and executed our game plan early. Our development and growth as a team is improving game by game."
 
Up next for the Lakers is Lorain County Community College on Wednesday., Sept. 18. Game time is 4pm at Laker field. Admission is free.
