Womens soccer drops finale
The Lakeland women's soccer team lost a 2-0 decision to Kellogg CC on Friday. With the loss, Lakeland's record falls to 10-4 and 6-4. Lakeland had already qualified for post-season play prior to the game. Kellogg was very aggressive throughout the game and led the Lakers in shots 14-6 and while they each had 6 corners. Lakeland was whistled for 15 fouls compared to the Bruins' 9.  The teams went into the half tied 0-0 despite Kellogg outshooting the Lakers 6-2. Kellogg broke thru in the second half with 2 goals in a 5 minute span as they earned the victory.
 
Sivik's Sentiments: "Our main goal today was to stay healthy and we accomplished that. We should have all of our players back from injury in time for Regionals. We are really excited for our first playoff experience."
 
Next up: Lakeland will play Jackson College On Saturday, November 2 at Grand Haven HS in Muskegon, MI. Lakeland and Jackson split the season series this season with each of them winning at the opponents home site 2-0. Game time is 3pm.
