Womens soccer falls to Bruins

The Lakeland women's soccer team traveled to Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI today to face off against the KCC Bruins. The Lakers fell by a score of 8-0 and their record now stands at 1-2. This was a game that was controlled by the Bruins as the Lakers tried to overcome numerous injuries throughout the game. The Lakers surrendered 24 shots while Laker goalkeeper, Lillyan Agostine, recorded 15 saves. The Bruins scored their first goal 9 minutes into the contest on a header. Three minutes later, the Bruins would strike again. This time, Agostine saved a penalty kick only to have the rebound be picked up by a Bruin player who was able to tuck it away. From there, Kellogg rolled to the win.
