Women's soccer falls to Jayhawks

The Lakeland women's soccer team traveled to Muskegon Community College to close out their season against the Jayhawks. The Lakers were missing key players on this trip and unfortunately were unable to overcome those deficiencies as they fell 8-0. Assistant Coach Horowski commented, "It was a tough game. Definitely a bigger challenge when playing short against a quality team like the Jayhawks. Though the results in the end were not what we wanted, the team worked hard and improved. We took strides this year and they are a great group. We're excited to continue our growth into next season."

Carlin McNulty stepped up and played keeper for the Lakers today and recorded 20 saves.

Players of the Game: Carlin McNulty, Ryley Woodworth, Josalyn Abrams, and Gabrielle Carley

Mallon's Mentions: "I want to thank and congratulate our sophomores for their efforts this season. They did a great job keeping everything positive and working hard. We wish them the best of luck in the future."
