Morgan Smart named OCCAC Division II player of the week for Lakeland

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Lakeland Community College earned its first 2018 OCCAC Player of the Week accolade with Morgan Smart's (Perry) superb efforts in three conference clashes. In addition, Michaela Eisenhauer of Owens brought home her second D-III weekly honor of the season.

Smart produced 4.11 points per set while digging 2.78 balls/set in three matches against OCCAC foes. She recorded a double-double in both tilts versus No. 3 Columbus State, connecting on 13 kills in each and a total of 23 digs. Smart attacked .294 with seven kills and three services aces in the Lakers road triumph at Hocking College.   

MICHAELA EISENHAUER
Owens Community College
Eisenhauer had a busy week, logging 18 sets as the Express capture three victories, including a four-set 'W' over No. 18 Des Moines Area. She averaged 4.42 points, 3.44 digs and 1.00 blocks per set while attacking .333 (66-17-147) for the week. In two scuffles against nationally-ranked opponents (Des Moines Area, No. 4 Parkland), Eisenhauer racked up 24 kills at the same .333 attacking clip to go along with 24 digs and six stuffs.
