The Lakers volleyball team dropped an 0-3 decision to the Lorain County CC Commodores 25-18, 25-16, 25-16. The loss drops their record to 4-14 and 2-8.The first match was the most inspired as the Lakers battled back from a 9-2 deficit to 15-11. After that, they could not hold the momentum and Lorain County rolled to the victory. Char Bourns, Jessie Ceboll, Asianna Settles each recorded 7 kills in the defeat. Sarah Miozzi contributed 16 assists and 7 digs. Brook Burrington had 14 digs while Abby Carlson chipped in with 13 digs of her own. Ceboll also led the team with 5 blocks.

Miozzi Mentions: "We just have not been able to consistently put it together. We play some strong games with quality play and follow it up with matches where we just don't play well.  The team is very capable of competing; we just need to be able to find it within ourselves to work hard for ourselves and our teammates. Char continues to lead with her upbeat attitude and enthusiasm – we really like that. Abigail Tuttle again stepped in and played well. She's learning the game and her efforts are beginning to pay off."
