Laker volleyball falls to Edison State in straight sets
Lakeland volleyball traveled to Piqua, Ohio on Friday and lost to Edison State CC 3-0 (25-13, 26-24,25-20). The Lakers started slow in the first set before picking up their play in the next two sets. Unfortunately for Lakeland, it was not enough. Sarah Miozzi had 24 assists on the night while Jesse Ceboll had 10 kills. Brook Burrington led the way with 17 digs for the Lakers

Miozzi Mentions: "It was a tough start for us. We were not ready to play after getting off the long trip - we are better than that and so I'm disappointed with our initial effort. We didn't quit though and battled back the next two sets - just need to be more consistent every time we take the floor. Sarah Miozzi and Abby Tuttle played well."

Next up:  Lakeland finishes their road trip tomorrow with a 1pm match at Sinclair CC. The final match of the year is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29 as the Lakers play host to Beaver County CC. The game time is set for 6:30pm and admission is free.
