Lakers volleyball beaten by Commodores

The Lady Lakers volleyball team played host to the Lorain County Community College Commodores on Wednesday night and dropped a 3-0 decision to LCCC. The scores were 14-25, 7-25, 5-25. The first game started off as a balanced affair until the Commodores went on a mid-game run which put the Lakers in a hole from which they could not recover.  Games 2 and 3 were tough games for the Lakers as they committed several unforced miscues.  The Commodores were able to take advantage of mistakes off their serve and coasted to the victory.

Miozzi Mentions: "This was a tough night for us as we just were unable to put it together and go on any runs. Several times we made some nice plays and effort only to then make an unforced error to put us back.  We need to get back at it tomorrow as there are some tough matches coming at us this weekend."

Next up: The Lakers will make the long trip to Piqua to take on the Edison State Chargers at 6pm on Friday before returning home on Saturday for an 11am match against the Clark State Eagles.
