The Lakers volleyball game played host to the Edison State Chargers tonight and dropped a 3-0 decision (14-25, 8-25, 9-25) in Laker Gym. It was the last home game for four Lakers tonight and they were recognized prior to the game. Anna Lewis (Mentor HS), Adrienne DiPierro (Harvey HS), Janice Robinson (Grange Hill HS), and Avalon Gollin (Mentor HS) all participated in their final home match. Lewis has recently committed to play volleyball at Lake Erie Colleg next year. We want to wish them all the best of luck in their future endeavors!
Miozzi Mentions: "The girls gave a decent effort tonight; however, we were just unable to overcome some unforced errors. We did have several good rallies this evening, but were just unable to close it out. I want to especially thank Avalon (Gollin), Adrienne (DiPierro), Janice (Robinson), and Anna (Lewis) for their effort and enthusiasm throughout this difficult season. They have been good leaders and will be missed. I look forward to seeing what they do in the future."
