Carmen Ningler-Farone vs State Fair College
Due to a scheduling conflict, the match vs State Fair College was rescheduled for Monday Feb. 19th at 5:00pm.
Till Oppermann 2-0 SUNY Herkimer Community College
Oppermann matched against Herkimer Community College. Lakeland started the series on a hat trick by Opperman in the first half. Lakeland scored one in the second half to win game one 4-2. The Lakers continued the goal scoring, winning game two 3-1 and the series 2-0. Lakeland returns to FIFA next Monday Feb. 19th at 6:00pm.
Fortnite-Monday Feb. 12th 6:00pm
Lakeland 2-0 Kishwaukee Community College
Gragg, Patel, and Doughty were matched against Kishwaukee Community College. Lakeland won the first game 24-21 securing a victory royale. Gragg had 15 eliminations while Patel had 8. The Lakers picked up 27 eliminations behind Gragg, winning game two 27-16 and winning the series 2-0. Lakeland's Fortnite team returns to action Monday Feb. 19th at 6:00pm.
Mario Kart 8-Thursday Feb. 15th 6:00pm & 7:00pm
Caden Gragg 0-3 Gogebic Community College
Lakeland played Gogebic in the first match of the double header. Gogebic swept Lakeland in a best of five series. Gragg was competitive in all three races. A well-timed mushroom on the final lap in race two and a red shell on the third race allowed the opening to overtake the Lakers.
Caden Gragg 0-3 Iowa Western Community College
Lakeland played Iowa Western in the second match of the double header. Iowa Western swept Lakeland in a best of five series. The Lakers led laps 1 and 2 in all three races, but the item spawns on lap 3 went the way of Iowa Western. A combination of triple red shells and a horn in race two and triple red shells paired with triple mushrooms in race three were enough to see Iowa Western through. The Lakers return to the Mario Kart track next Thursday Feb. 22nd at 6:00pm and 7:00pm.
