Till Oppermann 1 – 3 Kingsborough Community College
The Lakers played Kingsborough in the NJCAAE East Super Regional Final.
Game 1: Lakeland 2 – 6 Kingsborough
Kingsborough scored the opening goal of the series in the 5th minute on a counterattack. The Lakers scored their first goal in the 20th minute, but Kingsborough would respond by scoring on the next kickoff to keep a 2-1 lead. Kingsborough received the first possession to start the second half, scoring another kickoff goal to extend their lead. Lakeland scored a goal in the 60th minute to get within one. Kingsborough extended their lead to 4-2 with a goal in the 70th minute. Kingsborough scored two additional goals to win the first game 6-2.
Game 2: Lakeland 0 – 1 Kingsborough
After a defensive first half, Kingsborough took a 1-0 lead into halftime. The Lakers had a chance to even the match, but Oppermann's shot hit the post as time expired at the break. The teams continued to play defensively throughout the second half. The Lakers had a chance to even the game in the 90th minute, but Oppermann's shot went wide and the final whistle sounded. Kingsborough won the second game 1-0.
Game 3: Lakeland 4 – 3 Kingsborough
Kingsborough started the match with two rapid goals taking an early 2-0 lead. The Lakers were able to get a goal back in the 20th minute when Oppermann scored a direct corner kick. Lakeland tied the game in the 50th minute with a through ball up the middle. Lakeland and Kingsborough traded goals in the 60th minute tying the match 3-3. Kingsborough committed a foul in the 85th leading to a Lakeland freekick and Lakeland scores! Lakeland wins the fourth match 4-3.
Game 4: Lakeland 1 – 2 Kingsborough
The Laker's were able to score first in the 34th minute after Oppermann chipped the keeper on a fast break. Kingsborough responded by scoring back-to-back kickoff goals to take a 2-1 lead into the halftime. The teams played a scoreless second half with Kingsborough winning the game 2-1 and the series 3-1.

Oppermann finished second in the NJCAAE East division and qualifies for the National playoffs as the fourth seed.
Lakeland plays in the National semi-final Tuesday as the Lakers take on Dallas Cedar Valley at 7:00pm.
