The Lakeland men's basketball team traveled to Springfield, OH today to face the Clark State Eagles in OCCAC play. The Lakers overcame a slow first half by playing a strong second half and earning an 89-76 victory. With the win, the Lakers improve to 13-3 overall and 6-0 in the OCCAC. Coach Eskridge commented, "In the first half, we didn't follow the game plan defensively and so we struggled. After the break, we did a much better job following the defensive game plan which also created some good scoring oppotunities. With that, our sophomores did a nice job leading us to the win."

Lakeland finished with four players in double figures. Jaidon Lipscomb led the way scoring 28 points while Elhadji Thiam finished with 24 points. Landon Tillman scored 19 points and Jaden Woods added 12 points for the Lakers.  Additional stats and game information were not available at time of print.

Next Up: On Wednesday night (1/18), the Lakers will play host to the Triceratops from Cuyahoga Community College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
