The Lakeland men's basketball team traveled to Owens Community College to face the Express in OCCAC action. The Lakers battled and came away with a hard fought 69-57 win. With the victory, the Lakers improve to 15-3 on the season and 8-0 in the OCCAC. Coach Eskridge commented, "Owens played extremely hard and made it very difficult on us. Owens is always a tough place to play." The teams battled back-and-forth throughout and the Express led 31-29 at the break. Eskridge continued, "As the game wore on, we settled down a bit and played more of our game. We played pretty good defense and were able to get some stops. That was a good hard fought win - both teams played hard."
