The Lakeland men's basketball team traveled to Hocking College on Monday and suffered a a 78-58 defeat at the hands of the Hawks. The two teams battled much of the first half as the Hawks held a 39-35 lead at the break. In the second half, the breaks did not go Lakeland's way as they went cold shooting and were unable to fend off the Hawks.

Lakeland was led by Jareon Mayo who scored 15 points. Ansoumane Oulare finished with 8 points while both Alex Benson and Brandon Lane chipped in 6 points. PJ Daniels finished with 7 points and Nate Houston finished his night with 5 points for the Lakers.

T's Thoughts:  "Have to give credit to Hocking as they plsyed well. They were much more disciplined than we were. We have to turn this over quickly as we have another quick turnaround game against a good team on Wednesday."

Next Up: The Lakers will play host to the Terra State Titans on Wednesday (1/31) in Laker Gym. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm.
