The Lakers men's soccer team played host to the Jackson Community College Jets on Saturday and came away with a 1-0 OT victory. With the win, the Lakers improve to 5-4-1 in conference play. Currently, the Lakers are in 3rd place; however, Ancilla College sits in 4th place with a 5-2 record and 3 games in hand. The results of those games will determine who the Lakers meet in the first round of the play-offs. This was a fairly evenly played game with the Lakers holding a slim 11-10 lead in shots. The golden goal was scored by Amir Serikbaev as he ripped a shot by the Jets netminder.

Dominc Grobler and Chanyong Kim split the game in net for the Lakers with each picking up 3 saves.

Kettani's Comments: "It was an amazing day which we were able to come up with the victory. We have work to do now as it's almost time for the play-offs to begin."

Next Up: The Lakers have finished the regular season and await their matchup in the soccer play-offs to be held at Muskegon Community College the weekend of 10/30-31.
