Lakers men's soccer falls to Triceratops

The Lakeland men's soccer team traveled to Cuyahoga Community College today and dropped a 6-1 game to the Triceratops. Trailing 1-0, Lakeland's Omar Inga tied the score at 1 as he ripped a shot past the Tri-C keeper. Tri-C kept pressuring the Lakers though and went into the half with a 3-1 lead. The Triceratops continued to carry the play in the second half and would outshoot the Lakers 10-6. Tri-C also led in corners 11-1. Till Oppermann finished with 7 saves for the Lakers.

Mayer's Mentions: "Overall, our player performance was decent, but obviously we have areas that we need to improve. We need to be more connected when shifting and pushing up as well as being better at covering the gaps. We'll get back at it and come out prepared when we face them again."

Next Up: The Lakers will play host to the same Triceratops team in their next match on Monday, September 11. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
