The Lakers softball team took on Owens Community College Tuesday and dropped both ends of a doubleheader by the scores of 17-4 and 14-3. The Lakers managed four hits in the first game. Tatianna Matuz finished the game going 2-3 with 2 runs scored while Astianna Coppes and Gina Grandini each picked up hits in the Lakers loss. Matuz started on the mound and took the loss for the Lakers. In game 2, the Lakers picked up 9 hits, but were unable to string them together and so suffered the defeat. Kennedy Danna went 2-3 in the night cap while 7 different Lakers picked up a hit in the contest. Lily Seay took the loss for the Lakers on the mound.
Next Up: The Lakers will travel to Cuyahoga Community College tomorrow (4/12) to face the Triceratops in a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
