The Lakers softball team is getting ready to kick off another season under 2nd-year head coach, Jordan Kramer. Kramer will again be assisted by Emily Strobel and Mark Kramer.  New to the staff this year is Markanne Causey. Coach Kramer took over the realms late last fall and has hit the gound running adding high level players to a strong group of returning players.

Last season, Astianna Coppes was second on the team in average (.412) and RBI's (17). Kennedy Danna also returns after hitting for a .293 average and 14 RBI's. Micaha Marbury finished with a .313 average while Reagan Hayes was fourth on the team in RBI's with 12. Megan Szczecinski returns to help form a strong outfield while Lily Seay returns to the mound after leading the team in appearances (14) and innings pitched (62).

Returners include: Astianna Coppes, Kennedy Danna, Reagan Hayes, Micaha Marbury, Lily Seay, and Megan Szczecinski.

Incoming Players include: Carmen Alvarez, Midaliz Alvarez, Lillyan Agostine, Julianna Augusta, Emalee Harala, Abby Haydu, Leah Richter, Athena Stute, and Peyton Trick.

The Lakers will travel to Florida to kick off their season as they play 8 games at the Hancock Sports Complex in Clearwater. The first game is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th. League play will begin on Friday, March 22nd at home against Edison State. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm. Lakeland's season finale is scheduled for Saturday (4/27) at home against Cuyahoga Community College. The doubleheader begins at 1:00 pm.
