Players Perspective

Mya James: "We came out with good intensity and were able to maintain that level most of the game. It's important for us to play our game - not the other teams. We were really able to stay true to ourselves today, which was good. It was a good team effort."

Lauren Perry: "The team really did a good job coming together and bringing the energy. We were really there for each other. We had a good week of practice and it transferred over to the game."

Gardy's Gab: "We came out and took care of business early. We had a lot of energy and effort. Our sophs did a nice job leading us in the home opener, but it was really a nice team effort that put us over the top."

Next Up: The Lakers head to St. Clair County Community College next Friday where they will face off against Milwaukee Area Tech at 2:00 pm. On Saturday, they will face host St. Clair County at 3:00 pm.
