The Lakeland women's soccer team traveled to Muskegon Community College today to take on the Jayhawks in a 1pm soccer match. Unfortunately for the Lakers, they were unable to hold off the Jayhawks, who are currently ranked 4th nationally by the NJCAA in Division II. The Lakers fell by a final score of 11-0 as they were unable to muster much offense throughout the match. Lakeland's record now stands at 2-3-1. Coach Mallon post game mentions included freshman Ashlen Horowski who had a solid game at midfield and keeper Gina Grandini who made 9 saves in the net.

Next Up: Next Saturday (9/24), the Lakers head to Delta College to face the Pioneers. Delta is currently ranked 2nd in the nation by the NJCAA in Division III.
